![]() ![]() Purgators and purifiers need the +ammo passive wargear, and one of the small set of ranged weapons that maximize their ammo:damage conversion rates. But usually for both the priority is hitting 100% chance on autos first. Librarian will, still, and max WP increases make the Willpower I strategem even better for them. When run with a chaplain using invocation of focus, the interceptor will likely never dip below maximum WP. I get why they did it that way, but I find once you've got a decent Dread build and a geared Tech-Marine, the rest goes to waste. I kinda wish the Assassin gear didn't cost req but cost Mech money instead. The only exception is Willpower-maxxing on Interceptors and Librarians, because they go through their stack so fast. I dunno I find that some classes benefit from certain gear combos, but there are no 'must haves'. Only terminator armor has significant improvement at the tier III level with multiple unique sets. Tier II power armors that give +passive wargear, servo skull ammo, or focus are nearly as good as their tier III variants. Two of the five best crit weapons are tier II and nearly identical to their tier III variants. The third best AoE melee weapon is tier I (halberd). ![]() The best stun weapon is tier II (hammer). ![]() Two of the three best incinerators are tier I. Later on it's more convenient to have knights leveled and spend req instead of time on them. Largely agree although passive wargear is the #1 priority for me, as it only gets better as you go (and disruptor skull lv3 is insane), whereas leveling other categories too fast can make you miss clutch low level gear. I don't bother upgrading the rank of new recruits because it's easy to power level them anyway (plus respec is still a pain). I prioritise armour, melee, passives and guns (in that order). Many of the Tier 1 and Tier 2 relics aren't that great, once you have Tier 3+ mission rewards you notice more of a difference.
